In this volatile political climate, is it possible to make a movie about a politically charged real-life event without alienating half of your potential audience? With recent films like "Lone Survivor" and "Patriot's Day," director Peter Berg believes he has found a way. Is his approach as apolitical as he claims? Bradley Schauer, an associate professor in the University of Arizona School of Theatre, Film and Television, will present this talk. Schauer will analyze how Berg's documentary-style action films are constructed to be politically neutral and evaluate whether Berg succeeds in uniting the right and left.
